The 37-year-old England veteran James Andresen has become the world's fastest bowler to score 150 matches in Test cricket history. He also holds the record for picking wickets on the first ball of the Test against South Africa.

James Andresen holds the world record for the fastest bowler to score 150 Test matches in world cricket. This is why the Centurion took the wicket in the first delivery of the Test match. He is the fifth bowler to take a wicket in the first ball of a Test match this decade, and the fourth bowler in England to have achieved this feat. Former English bowlers Rain Saidbottom, Jeff Arnold (twice) and Maurice Tate are the other three bowlers.

South Africa opener Dean Elgar returned to the hands of wicketkeeper Jose Butler in the James Andresen attack. Anderson, who already holds the record for the fastest wicket-taker in Test cricket, has taken 576 wickets.
Former Indian cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar (200) is leading the list of players with the most Test matches. In this list, James Andresen, who is behind Sri Lanka's Mahela Jayawardene, jumped to ninth place. The record for England is set by Allistar Cook (161).
The triple-spin giant has appeared in the all-time list of highest wicket-takers in Test cricket. James Andresen has been spotted by Sri Lanka's Muttiah Muralitharan (800), Australia's Shane Warne (708) and India's Anil Kumble (619).

England paceman Stuart Broad, who is the second-fastest bowler to have played most Test matches, has taken 471 wickets in 135 matches (247 innings). Andresen and Brad are the greatest Test players of all time.
At the age of 20 in 2003, James Andresen made his Test debut against Zimbabwe. Since then, he has written many records during his 16-year career.
