Downfall of S.P. Balasubrahmanyam *SPB*

SPB life was not all that hunky dory in the past 15 years or so.  The reason is his son Charan.  After getting his daughter married to a business family Shri Ram chit funds and have her settled in USA, he wanted charan to study and settle down in USA as well.  Charan studied MBA in USA but returned back to India and moreover wanted to venture into films production (a risky business).  SPB had produced a successful film “Hello Brothers” but was not regular in production.   Charan took production in his hands and paid a hefty amount to remake the Telugu hit prabhas and Trisha starrer “varsham” in Tamil.  Those days jayam Ravi and his brother Mohan raja combo had delivered two successful remake films in Tamil, jayam and kumaran s/o mahalakshmi.  So, Charan signed up jayam Ravi and in place of Trisha he signed up shreya since Trisha was busy that time.  He named the movie as “mazhai” and started the shooting.  Jayam Ravi gave a tough time to Charan and missed his call sheet several times c

Indian Rivers and Water Resources

Rivers ! They are the veins, arteries and capillaries of Bharatiya Dharmic civilization, even before the nation India is formed. They are the bloodlines that shaped Bharatavarsha and enabled the ancient Rshis like Marichi, Atri, Bhrgu, Angiras, Pulaha, Pulastya and Kratu to discover the cosmic system of living vuz. Sanatana Dharma. This discovery the passed on through Vasistha, Agastya, Parasara, Vyasa and Valmiki to reach us through their works called the Mahabharata, Ramayana and the Puranas.  Ganga with Yamuna forms the largest river network of Bharata as seen in the map with light blue color.  The Ikshwakus at Sarayu central to Ramayana and the Bharatas at Ganga-Yamuna central to the Mahabharata both are from the Ganga river network. This network contains almost 70% of all kingdoms mentioned in the Mahabharata and Ramayana  like Kuru,  Panchala, Kashi, Kosala, Videha, Malla, Magadha, Anga, Vanga, Pundra, Suhma, Lauhiti, Dasarna, Chedi, Karusha, Matsya, Kunti, Avanti and many others

Whxy People who are 60+ must stay home and not take any risks at all* *Written by a nurse who works with ventilators.* *For those people who don't understand what it means to be on a ventilator but want to take the chance of going back to work and walk into crowded places such as malls or public transport vehicles.. ....*      *For starters, a ventilator is NOT an oxygen mask put over the mouth while the patient is comfortably lying down and reading magazines.* *Ventilation for Covid-19 is a painful intubation that goes down your throat and stays there until you live or you die. It is done under anesthesia for 2 to 3 weeks without moving, often upside down, with a tube inserted from the mouth up to the trachea and allows you to breathe to the rhythm of the lung machine.* *The patient can't talk or eat, or do anything naturally - the machine keeps you alive. Out of every 100 startups, only 2-3 survive, RG Chandramogan, we realize that luck factor is just 1% while hard work & perseverance is 99%.

Most of us would have come across hard-hitting statistics which suggests that out of every 100 startups, only 2-3 survive, while the rest 97 fade into obscurity. Looking at such data, one cannot help but wonder if entrepreneurship is just a big gamble where only a few lucky survive. However, when we look at the struggles of entrepreneurs like RG Chandramogan, we realize that luck factor is just 1% while hard work & perseverance is 99%.  Exactly 50 years ago, after dropping out of college, Chandramogan decided to venture into some business where he could "make it big". With Rs 13,000 as funding from his parents (who in turn had sold their ancestral property and family jewelry to arrange those funds for him), he started a tiny factory to produce ice-creams, which he aptly named "Arun ice-creams"  (In Tamil, Arun means Sun). Every morning, Chandramogan loaded all the ice-creams from his tiny factory, into an ice-cream cart, and would manually push the cart for 12 h

The main Methylxanthine in COFFEE is the stimulant caffeine. Other Methylxanthines found in COFFEE are two chemically similar compounds, Theobromine and Theophylline. The COFFEE plant creates these chemicals as a way to ward off insects and other animals.  Who would have known that all the solution to these

A group of friends visited to old hindu monk Conversation soon turned to complaints about 'STRESS' & 'TENSION' in life. Monk offered them coffee & returned from kitchen with coffee in different kinds of cups (glass cups, crystal cups, shining ones, some plain looking, some ordinary n some expensive ones.) When all of them had a cup in hand, the Monk said: "If YOU noticed, all the nice looking & expensive cups are taken up, leaving behind the ordinary ones. Everyone of YOU wanted the best CUPS, & that is the source of YOUR STRESS & TENSION. What YOU really wanted was "Coffee", not the "Cup", but YOU still went for the best Cup. If life is Coffee, then Jobs, Money, Status & Love. . . .etc are the Cups. They are just tools to hold and contain life. Don't let the CUPS drive YOU.  Enjoy the COFFEE. Have a wonderful Life ahead.🙏

Japan has decided to coexist with the new coronavirus! Announced the "new life model" calling the people to be prepared to follow this model for an extended period of time and learn to live and work with the virus lurking around the corner

Japan has decided to coexist with the new coronavirus! Announced the "new life model" calling the people to be prepared to follow this model for an extended period of time and learn to live and work with the virus lurking around the corner. Looking closely at these new life models, it can be seen that the Japanese government established these very practical set of SOPs using principles of rationality, science, and risk assessment. Maybe it is related to the Japanese understanding that "bad" things can't be forsaken for all times.  Using risk assessment models in principle, humans can continue to live well. Read them one by one. There are three basic points: 1. Keep a distance between people. 2. Wear a mask. 3. Wash hands frequently *Specific requirements* 1. People keep a distance of 2 meters. 2. Play as much as possible outdoors 3. Try to avoid being face to face direct facing when speaking to other people  4. Go home and wash your face and clothes immediately

The High Court of Karnataka on Tuesday passed an interim order to stay the National Law School of India University (NLSIU) Amendment Act 2020 passed by the Karnataka Assembly to grant 25% domicile reservation to Karnataka students in NLSIU, Bengaluru.

The High Court of Karnataka on Tuesday passed an interim order to stay the National Law School of India University (NLSIU) Amendment Act 2020 passed by the Karnataka Assembly to grant 25% domicile reservation to Karnataka students in NLSIU, Bengaluru. The court has also stayed the 5 percent concession on the cut-off score in the admission test to students of Karnataka which was introduced by NLSIU by a notification dated August 4 for granting the impugned reservation. The bench comprising Justices B V Nagarathna and Ravi Hosmani said:  "Bearing in mind the issue that arises in petitions and being conscious of the interest of students who are aspiring to take admission to the law school we think it proper to pass an interim order." The Court however asked NLSIU to go ahead with the admission process as per the revised seat matrix of 120 notified on August 4. In other words, there is no interim order regarding the increase of the seats from 80 to 120. A bench comprising Justice

Two aspiring law students, belonging to the general category, have moved Calcutta High Court with a writ petition challenging the constitutionality of the law mandating 30% domicile reservation for admission in West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (WBNUJS).

Two aspiring law students, belonging to the general category, have moved Calcutta High Court with a writ petition challenging the constitutionality of the law mandating a 30% domicile reservation for admission in West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (WBNUJS). Being prospective candidates at NUJS, these students from Delhi and Mathura have challenged the vires of the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (Amendment) Act, 2018 (Amending Act) which introduces Section 4A to the original WBNUJS Act, 1999. This amendment necessitates reservation for students domiciled in the state of West Bengal to the extent of at least 30% of the total admissions from the academic year 2020-21. The petitioners outrightly contend that the Amending Act is in violation of their rights guaranteed under Articles 14, 15, 19, and 21 of the Constitution of India. Thus it is sought that the amended provision is struck down as unconstitutional and the notification issued by the Unive
