The High Court of Karnataka on Tuesday passed an interim order to stay the National Law School of India University (NLSIU) Amendment Act 2020 passed by the Karnataka Assembly to grant 25% domicile reservation to Karnataka students in NLSIU, Bengaluru. The court has also stayed the 5 percent concession on the cut-off score in the admission test to students of Karnataka which was introduced by NLSIU by a notification dated August 4 for granting the impugned reservation. The bench comprising Justices B V Nagarathna and Ravi Hosmani said:  "Bearing in mind the issue that arises in petitions and being conscious of the interest of students who are aspiring to take admission to the law school we think it proper to pass an interim order." The Court however asked NLSIU to go ahead with the admission process as per the revised seat matrix of 120 notified on August 4. The government is offering 9 types of small savings shames, which includes the Recurring Deposit (RD), Public Provident Fund (PPF), Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana (SSY) and Senior Citizen Savings Scheme (SCSS). the interest rates on these small savings schemes will be reviewed by the Finance Ministry every quarter. Below is the Post Office Savings Scheme and Interest rates offered by the Post Office Savings Scheme. Post Office Savings Account: Any individuals can open a Post Office Savings Account with a minimum balance of ₹500. Per annum, there is a 4% interest rate for all individuals and joint accounts. National Savings Recurring Deposit:  Recurring Deposit (RD) account can be opened with Post office or with any bank for a tenure of 5years. It would reportedly benefit around 14.5 crore farmers in India. Pradhan Mantri Kisan Pension Yojana: Main purpose: To address the problems of farm sector distress, the Modi 2.0 Cabinet has approved a proposal to provide small and marginal farmers with a minimum Rs 3,000 per month fixed pension, costing Rs 10,774.5 crore per annum to the exchequer.
