Who is Amit Shah?? A businessman-turned-politician and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader...

Image
A businessman-turned-politician and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, Amit Shah became the Union home minister in the second term of the Narendra Modi-led central government. Also referred to as the 'Chanakya' of modern Indian politics, Shah, a close aide of Modi's, has been credited with leading the BJP to victory in several elections as the party's president. Shah put his political acumen to use on a pan-Indian basis even before donning the mantle of the BJP president. Since Modi took charge as the prime minister of India during his first term, no politician in the country has been considered taller than Shah, after the PM himself. Since 1989, Amit Shah has fought 29 elections, including various local body polls, and not lost any to this day. Shah was elected as an MLA from Gujarat’s Sarkhej in four consecutive elections 1997 (by-election), 1998, 2002, and 2007. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Shah contested from Gandhinagar, a seat previously held by BJP

COVID Update August 28: Pandemic rules. There are none, but there should be.

1- Loss of life should be more uncomfortable than it is. Our president shouldn’t be able to hide from it. Cameras everywhere. We need to stop referring to people in jails & the border as anything less than Americans. 2- Scientists should be required to report all conversations with the White House where they are being asked to alter a scientific finding to the Inspector General. 3- If you’re in charge of White House social media, you have no business being involved in the actual pandemic response. 4- If after managing a pandemic, you’re scared of allowing people to vote, you probably fucked up the pandemic response. 5- Any drug the president promotes the benefit of, he takes on camera. Same with vaccines. 6- Isolation centers/fever tents = Trump hotels 7- Pandemics are managed in command centers, hospitals, clinics & nursing homes not the Rose Garden. 8- No one leaves the pandemic richer. Windfall profit tax on all pharma cos, insurance cos, major labs during a pandemic. Money

Some guiding principles for a good life:

Be in alignment with what’s most important to you (your values). Do not change because of what others want, change because of what you want. Be making decisions based on what you really want for yourself. Don't be influenced by your fear of the consequences. Your decisions are meant to empower others, not control them. Honor people where they are, not where you want them to be. Make decisions based on who you are and want to be, not who you were. Fulfill your needs first so you have enough to give to others. Question fears that you have held onto since childhood. Your fear, anger, or upset in the moment could be an old emotional trigger and may not have the same meaning as it once did. When someone triggers you, focus on healing yourself, not changing them. What you want is just as important as what other people want. Be compassionate to yourself first, then to others. You don’t have to wear your emotional armor all the time. People can hurt you only if you let them take my power.

Secret Garden Design Ideas: How To Create Your Own Garden Room

Image
Learn how to create your own secret garden with these secret garden design ideas that will turn your backyard into a relaxing leisure area and you won't want to leave. Madikeri Karnataka is one of my favorite cities to visit. With its large old houses, cobblestone streets, and wonderful restaurants, it has tons of atmosphere. Another thing I love about Madikeri is the gardens. Many homes have lots of small yards but they still have beautiful gardens. Even off the street, they want to invite you in and sit down. I think they all feel like romantic secret garden rooms, gas-lighted lanterns, and everything! So when I created my backyard plan, I decided to use my Madikeri secret garden design ideas to make my own version of my standard suburban yard. Of course, I have no beautiful architecture or old cobblestone walkways. But I still managed to get the feel of that secret garden room. Continue reading to learn how to create your own secret garden room even if you have a suburban yard.

Who is your fallback..!! Wonderful..must read..πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘Œ

People help you the way they know to help you. To help you to come out of stress, one friend will ask you to drink and another will ask you to meditate.  To overcome hurt, one friend will ask you to take revenge and get even, and another will ask you to forgive and get ahead with your life. ‘Who is your fallback’ makes all the difference.  Duryodhana’s predicament, in his own words, was, “I know what is right but I am not able to indulge in it. I know what is wrong but I am not able to avoid it.” He needed a fallback. His fallback was his uncle Shakuni, and resultantly, Duryodhana moved from bad to worse.  Arjuna’s predicament was different. He was allowing his personal emotions to dominate his sense of duty, and hence wanted to escape from the responsibilities he had towards upholding righteousness. He needed a fallback. His fallback was Krishna, and resultantly, Arjuna was restored to his greatness.  Humans we are, at some point or the other, we all  need a fallback. ‘Who is your fal

*Retirement then and now - Very Interesting*...

Speech by P.P.Ramachandran (After serving  RBI for  40 years) “Living Happily  After Retirement”.  Retirement is a problem peculiar to our generation.  In the times of our fathers and grandfathers, retirement was not much of a problem. There are three reasons for this. First, Life Expectancy. Fifty years ago, the life expectancy at the age of retirement fixed at 55--was 60.   A study of Government records revealed that very few people enjoyed pension for more than five years at that time.   Most people died before sixty and consequently spending five years after retirement did not pose any major problem. Today Life Expectancy at retirement at 58 or 60-- is 75 years which means half of your working life is still left after retirement. To give you an example two Senior Officers of RBI died at 93 years—35 years after retirement. The second reason is the change in the family structure. Half a century ago most people were in a joint family. The day you laid down office, you still had a larg
